What is Dig IN: Taste of Indiana?
Dig IN: Taste of Indiana is a celebration of the farm-to-fork festival experience. Dig IN will feature tastings of Indiana food, beer, wine and other local refreshments plus live entertainment, discussion panels and demonstrations.

What should I expect at Dig IN: Taste of Indiana?
Expect to have fun and enjoy amazing food and drinks. Indiana’s finest chefs will prepare a unique dish based on fresh produce, meat and poultry from Indiana farms and food producers. Indiana Wine Grape Council and the Brewers of Indiana Guild will serve locally made wines and beers.

All guests will receive one sample tasting from each food and beverage vendor. Additional beverages, refreshments, and artisan snacks will be available for purchase from select vendors. Guests can enjoy live music, demonstrations and panel discussions.

What should I bring to the festival?
An empty stomach! Seriously, come hungry (and thirsty) to Dig IN: Taste of Indiana as there are nearly three-dozen chefs providing tastings and a slew of wineries and breweries on hand with samples of their craft beer and Indiana wine.

Dig IN: Taste of Indiana is a rain-or-shine event, so if the skies look cloudy, we suggest bringing an umbrella. If it’s sunny, we recommend sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat.

Comfortable shoes are also recommended. Bring some extra cash if you would like to purchase a pint of beer, glass of wine, locally crafted juice and other beverages. We accept credit/debit cards.

Lastly, come in good spirits! Great food and drink pairs well with good vibes.

How much does Dig IN: Taste of Indiana cost?
Tickets range from $40 to $120 depending on the level purchased. Check our tickets page for more detail.

Do I need cash at Dig IN: Taste of Indiana? Do you accept credit cards?
It depends. Your ticket for Dig IN: Taste of Indiana is good for lots and lots of food and drink. If you would like a beverage larger than sample size, then yes, you’ll need cash or a credit card.

We accept credit/debit cards for merchandise, drink tickets and tickets (if available day of) to the event.

Is the festival ‘all inclusive’? Can I purchase additional food and beverages?
One sample tasting from each food and beverage vendor is included in the price of admission. Over 30 chefs will be preparing food and several breweries and wineries are on tap. Food samples are 2-3 bites (approximately 2 ounces) and beverage samples are standard sampling size (3oz for beer/1oz for wine). All guests can enjoy live music, demonstrations and panel discussions.

Additional beverages, refreshments, and artisan snacks will be available for purchase from select vendors.

What is the “passport”?
To maximize the experience, guests will receive a Dig IN: Taste of Indiana Passport upon entry. The passport is a roadmap that helps you to track what you have sampled and what you would like to sample, along with locations of chefs throughout the park. We ask that attendees sample a dish or beverage only once.

The passport also serves as a takeaway piece for you to be able to find local restaurants, farms, and artisans that you enjoyed at Dig IN: Taste of Indiana, all throughout the year.

Where is Dig IN: Taste of Indiana? How do I get there?
This year, Dig IN: Taste of Indiana 2016 will take place at historic Military Park in White River State Park in Indianapolis.

Where should I stay when I come to the festival? Are there nearby hotels?
We will work with area hotels to offer specific discounts for Dig IN: Taste of Indiana attendees.

Where are the guest entrances?
The guest entrance is located on the west side of Military Park. VIP entrance will be on the north east side of the park.

Where can I park my car or bike?
The WRSP Underground Parking Garage will be open and guests may park at the Indianapolis Zoo. Parking is available for a fee at both locations. (Note: The WRSP South Surface Lot will be unavailable for guests.)

There are additional parking lots near West and Washington Streets as well as metered parking. More parking information.

Pedal and Park will provide free, secure parking for bicycles near the main entrance.

Can I bring children to Dig IN: Taste of Indiana?
Absolutely! What better way to train a foodie than to introduce them to the tastes of Indiana at a young age?

Tickets for children ages 5-10 are only $10. Children ages 4 and under are free.

If your child would like milk or juice, we suggest you bring those items with you. We know kids can be picky eaters, and we hope they’ll find a few tastes they really like at Dig IN: Taste of Indiana.

A children’s ticket allows a child to accompany their parent at whatever ticket level the parent holds: VIP, Early Entry, or General Admission.

Will there be anything I can enjoy if I’m a vegetarian, vegan or if I have food allergies?
There are some vegetarian options at Dig IN: Taste of Indiana. Some chefs feature dishes that do not have meat, while others offer vegetarian alternatives to their dish. A vegan would most likely have a challenging time finding much to eat at Dig IN: Taste of Indiana.

Please understand that we only list the main ingredients of each food sample. Samples may contain potential food allergens. We cannot guarantee either the sample or the preparation area to be free of potential food allergens.

Where can I find water at Dig IN: Taste of Indiana?
Bottled water is available for purchase at various stations around the park (see the event map for details).

What if there is rain on the day of the event?
Dig IN: Taste of Indiana is a rain-or-shine event and tickets are non-refundable. There are tents throughout the festival grounds to relax and have a seat under covered shelter.

Does my ticket also include music/bands and the chef’s competition?
Yes! Your ticket includes all live entertainment, along with the chef’s competition.
